this week there was no prime real estate for winterbells because of all the faked scores. what can we do about this problem so that we can keep playing games? should we just do away with the prime real estate and play for fun?

I think the fakery started for fun like "Ah you faked a highscore, well then I'll fake a higher one" .... But for sure we can appeal to the fun side of Mix Community and ask them to play for the fun of it! Finally fake scores will come to be known .....
The other thing is to get games that record high scores ... but that's more difficult so I guess we just need to play for the fun of it and submit our real scores so we can keep having fun every week.
One problem with this is that we would all require a screen capture software just to play the game, if your on windows fine (there are many free screen capture programs)... but for me being on a mac, i have been looking for months for a free screen capture program which is mac compatible (not happening). So, great idea, but its much harder than it seems.
What about screentoaster?
It still makes the problem of having to watch all these videos, and on top of that, getting your best score in one go (unless there's a high score setting in the game) but kills the immediate fakery.
screentoaster sounds intriguing thanks. You have a very valid point. Who is going to actually sit down and watch every individual videos (even if the go for 2 seconds) it would become very annoying.
ahhhh no! I didnt fake my score!!! i played like hours at work! ARRRG.
I should be able to record a video and post it up!! im like the winterbells champ!
noooo =0(
i spent hours on that! =0(
again (i hate to be the baddie in this thread) but it can be hard for people without a phone that can send pics to their computer. Yes we can send it via a message in email, but that costs, and for someone that only has a prepaid account that would waste too much of my money.
I never really doubted you guys because it ALWAYS looked like you did the show for fun, not for profit. With all the profit making potential angles being flaunted in your face, I can see how you might want to keep things hush hush.
That's what is...
Jessica get my vote! (Where did you get that B&W?!)
But, I take you guys a little older. Becky Worley (www.beckyworley.com), Sumi Daas, Michaela Pereira (KTLA5-TV)
And back to young - Natali DelConti, Amber MacArthur, Neha Tewari. Not to mention...
sometimes things are quietest just before the storm. :)
tubejay has is right, we've been responding to a lot of inquiries and on a few threads on MIX talking about the latest news. we've been jamming on tons of angles, taking meetings to try and ...
despite tech saavy people like yourself, you have to realize the average consumer has features enabled s/he doesn't even know exist. how then can they be deactivated? in truth it goes beyind even this, but that's a beginning.

oh! you've mistaken me for someone with real programming skills! very flattering, but i would be quite useless to the peek project. someday, perhaps in my retirement. but i think they'll have at least version 3 out by then.
i would like to help. there have been a number of topics about this on mix. when my access was very limited and i wanted to keep up to date, i would simply look at laurence's profile. anything i needed to be up to date would be something he'd repl...
ok but in all seriousness this time: if people aren't 'keen' on something, why not just NOT do it? if you don't want strangers finding you on facebook, then keep your profile private. this is why these options are available yes?
