What must you do, change, see, or experience in 2009? New Years resolutions can seem corny or irrelevant, but if you treat it like any other goal -- keep it small and attainable -- you could be looking back a year from now and feeling pretty damn good about what you said you were going to do.

My New Years resolution is to get in really good shape in 2009, re-open a gym membership, and start taking my fitness seriously. Another one I have is to work in television at some point in the year to progress my career and experience new challenges in a bigger media environment (not saying EPIC FU is going to tv, just saying I want to work in television somehow).

What are your resolutions, and how did you do with the ones you made last year?

In 2009 I have to take a picture everyday and then publish it to the web.

Mine are simple......

1.- Start taking a healthy and fit lifestyle

3.- Be very creative
4.- Keep spreading the FU around
5.- And finally get to California to know that amazing place that brings so much stuff to my life!

Here's a link to my resolutions in my blog: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.ListAll&frien...

and for those who don't wish to follow the link and/or cannot view it:

Resolutions for the New Year.

1. Whereas, I am holding onto my perceived control over my life with much too firm a grip, such that that very grip causes me to lose control;
Whereas, I need to let go and stop trying to live my life, and instead just live my life;
Whereas, There comes a point in life where you need to be driving down the freeway with your foot on the gas and your hands not touching the wheel,

Therefore be it Resolved that I shall let go. Be it Resolved that I am going to just be. Be it resolved that I am just going to live, and stop worrying about living.

2. Whereas, I am a little bit partied out;
Whereas, I no longer enjoy inebriation to the extent that I once did;
Whereas, I am still not opposed to using recreational substances, but am sick of going out of my way to get them,

Therefore be it Resolved that I am not going on missions anymore; If I get passed something I'll probably hit it, but I shall no longer be going out of my way to obtain "that."

3. Whereas, most people are unfit to reproduce either out of shear stupidity or defective genes;
Whereas, I do not wish to risk creating a stupid and/or defective child and furthering the evolutionary stagnation that the human race is currently experiencing,

Therefore be it Resolved that I shall not partake in intimate relations with a person, if that person does not have anything to offer to the advancement of the human species.

Ahh the much dreaded/anticipated New Years res. Since you're asking, I'd love to start going to the gym. God knows that my membership hasn't been used in a good seven months. Then continue with my New Years res from last year, keep a phone for more then five months (my highest is eight months). I've had 12 in the last two years. I have nine months left on my contract; which brings me to my goal.

Lastly, I would like to not have a New Years res next year. Every year I always end up with the same regrets. Not next year baby! I want to wake up on hang-over day and think wow, last year was awesome. Then make crappy blogs about how much I miss 2009.

To keep up to date with my podcasts for a start (seems I was late to the party on this one).

I bought a new PC on New Year's Eve and have deliberately avoided installing printer drivers onto it, all I have to do for my resolution is to not print anything (I'll go to Uni for any med-school related stuff)- I have heard enough about replacement bags for shopping- I want to move myself onto a paperless office for 2009!

That was my resolution for 2008 and i succeeded at not printing anything. All work or CVs i printed at Uni so no problem there.

To get off my lazy ass and volunteer somewhere... or to move to a larger city where I would have more of an opportunity to get involved in something I actually care about.

to learn a riff on the electric guitar given to me a couple of years ago. Either the crunchiness of Metallica's ride the lighting, or something from C.O.C's arms of god. I'm bringin metal back in 09.

Hi Steve, May I make a suggestion on your resolution? I am reading an amazing book called Eat This, Not That which is designed to help people make healthier choices at the super market.

My resolution is that I signed up for Project 365, as profiled on Epic Fu, and I intend to upload one photo per day. After the year is through, I will have the photos printed into a hardbound book.

Just finished a stint on a Rust pile in the middle of the southern North Sea, on which I spent new years there :(

Anyways I made a promise to myself that If 1 x £UK drops to around $1.50 US and stays like that into the new year I'll go on international employment terms with my work. That means I will go on a $US based salary. At which point I can choose Where I want to live in the World!! - Berlin here I come!! :D

i think it would be very cool if you opened up @epicfans to include links to news that people on mix consider worthy of posting on the newsshare app. i don't think it's used often enough that it would be too much hassle for you, but you decide. al...
