Epic cultural mashup!

For those of you who don't know, my family is from the red-neck part of Texas and my cousin married a wonderful lady from China, so now whenever I see them together I hear this music.... beautiful harmony!

I have plunged into darkness.

In anticipation for a potential job at Blizzard, I did the unthinkable: I began playing World of Warcraft, now I have become addicted and have neglected all of my other digital responsibilities. Help! :)

Rick Warren and my take on his statement

So recently, I was asked to write a posting about something an article in the news that I have read and decided to post it here: Enjoy.

As a child, I remember going to Pastor Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church in Orange County and have always found it a welcoming and open place. I remember going there and learning about a god that was all inclusive, and hearing the message of Jesus as a message of tolerance and love. Rick Warren was very close to my family, my father was his head usher before tak… Continue

Mirror's Edge comes out tomorrow- Is anyone else excited for it?

I haven't been this excited for a game since Pirates of the Burning Sea. It is coming out for the PC, Xbox and PS3 (my platform).

It is a First Person Shooter, that is unique in that the objective is to outrun the police of a fascist-futuristic state and utilize all the moves in Parkour physically possible to get the information you are carrying to the hands of the right people. I think the best part of this entire game is that you can go through it without firing a single shot and you are rew… Continue

wiccans seem to fall into two categories, "fluffy bunny" wiccans and everyone else. at any rate i think for any number of people it's as legitimate a choice as christianity, for others a way to transition out of christianity, and i suppose that can be legitimate too. i wouldn't go so far as to use the word "crazy" but i know what you mean. i had a friend that was an openly gay wiccan, nice guy.

he made it seem a lot more legitimate than a bunch of silly college girls dressed up in those sparkly butterfly wings :) you never see those anymore, i guess they lost their novelty four years ago. it's actually very easy to laugh at any religious view except agnosticism, but i'm fascinated with religion, and all the traditions it's produced. i see it as man's original attempt at philosophy, that makes it important to me.

Ok guys, sorry, it has been a while since I have been on. I have been spending most of my time looking for a job and playing PS3. I know, I know, I suck. But I have been watching Fu and have been trying to keep up to date about what is going on in Mix. Holla!

hey man I'm getting back to you on the Mirror's Edge topic......the gunplay is limited and the story is a bit weak unfortunately...... the games kick ass Kill Bill (or atleast it puts me in the mind of O-Ren Ishii) character had me ready to go but obviously they where trying out the whole FPP thing and put more focus on the gameplay or atleast mechanics on how it played.......if you are gung ho for it than by no means let me alter that feeling.....as someone who plans to make a splash in the videogame industry myself here soon I'm telling you to support the movement buy games, play games, enjoy games

-Thanks

oh dear, the pdf evangelist and one of the most anti-pdf people i've ever met, in the same place at the same time... (round 1: fight!)

that's ok, so far you and adobe are winning. but despite being someone that promotes youtube (i should get paid for it, but i don't) i'm really bothered that two of the biggest means of communicating online are *owned* by macromediadobe? they could cut us off anytime. they won't, but the internet is supposed to be free. not owned by a corporation. and replacing all the html with pdf files, huge pet peeve. i don't want plugins to be required to look at the bulk of everyday internet content... but at least pdf is (slightly) more open than flash. i'd probably like it more if i wanted to print everything i looked at online, but i don't.

We're a global band of kids/geeks/freaks who love art/tech/gaming/music/politics & life. Love the web. Live the FU.
