What is love to you?

Many people around the world have a totally different perception of "what is love" and how to love someone. I personnally think it is being true to that someone and respect each other of course, but being able to do anything for that person also. What do you think?

haha... Love is subjective like a mutha...

I thought I knew then I realized that love is:::: joy, passion, eternity, worry, heartache, longing. A 360' degree emotion to the core. I have felt every feeling with Love as their driving force.

Mostly what Love did to me was create a Agape lifestyle where, I placed my lover first in my heart. Truly deep, Love is control.

This poem (called 'Love') is something I created a while ago, but it still gives you an idea of what love means to me:

When you're with someone
A person you care for deeply
You can't imagine anything else
You have the undeniable feeling.

I can't stop thinking about her
Enjoying the time we spend together
This whole thing is an experience
An emotional wave passing over me.

Breathing life to the empty soul
Once lonely, but now that's no more
Thinking of a beauty
It brings a smile to my face.

Awaiting the next time we meet
Anticipation of a happy time
Good times are ahead
Freeing my mind from the darkened cage.

Good question! I think Love is a state of mind one enters when they find they find that one person that truly captivates them in every aspect. and I also think that love can take many different forms and contexts too.

when i think of love, i think of my parents and all the crap they have had to put up with for 20 years. can't really explain it, but i know for sure that love is a powerful force.

well guess love is in the eye of the beholder... some people tend to see love as something special, something to be treasured and kept in that special place in your heart..., others just see love as a way you express your feelings like in the act of 'loving'. Love could be just a chemical reaction but for romanticists...,its an everlasting process. Well personally i had been in love once, through out my dating life, and guess my personal opinion on love is totally defined as the bond created at that special moment with that special someone . ;-p

i think it's an emotion that you have toward another person. sometime it last, sometime it fades. Most of the time it gets you really stupid, meaning your IQ drop a few pts.
